Greetings,
On one of our RaQ4r's, we been attempting to
get Mailman 2.1.2, Python 2.2.2, the last Sendmail
from Solarspeed and the smrsh guard dog to play
nice together.
Mailman's completely installed and the config
and user screens work perfectly. Haven't had a
single problem in that respect, Python's purring
like a kitten.
But the Solarspeed Sendmail (or at least any
Sendmail since 6 months ago) uses 'smrsh' to restrict
access by program such as Mailman from calling up
Sendmail to transfer any List e-mail.
First, we were getting Service Unavailable
replies due to smrsh restricting Mailman, now we
actually get no replies at all to any test list
traffic (or any other List's that were made on
that box).
We've had several opinions, multiple people
attempting to find a solution for this, but now
we're all just plain stumped.
Anyone got a clue on this? It's semi-related
to the recent threads on Sendmail problems I've seen,
just looking for someone who's got Mailman working
on a RaQ4/4i/4r with a newer Sendmail patch installed.
Thanks in advance,
David J. Duffner
