I use my Qube3 as a print server. I have a Lexmark M410 connected to the
USB port and I can print to it from networked PCs, MacOS 9 and MacOS X
machines.

PDF Printer? Is this a process to convert other types of documents to PDF?
I thought you were simply trying to print PDF documents via the Qube3.

Is creating PDFs under Windows a difficult process?

Hi Malcolm,

I know physical printers can be hooked up to a Qube 3, but i spotted in Michaels email the implication that the Qube 3 would be easy to set up to create PDF files from files sent to it (I was imagining it as a virtual printer).

On Windows (the cheap way without buying Acrobat:) I create PDFs on my laptop using ghostgum and ghostscript (and redmon), printing to generic postscript printer that is setup on my laptop, which actually creates a postscript file. Thats no problem for me, but it tends to confuse everyone else in the office.
