Re: [cobalt-users] PHP 4.3.1 Upgrade

Hi Guys

I've updated my RaQ4 yesterday to PHP 4.3.1, everything is okay (Thanks to
http://www.nuonce.net).
However I had a few trouble with MySQL. After restarted the Webserver,
"phpmyadmin" reported:

"cannot load MySQL extensions, please check PHP Configuration"

Since Google is our friend, I've found on some Linux-Forums a solution:

- copy "/home/php_install/php4.3.1/modules/mysql.so" to "/usr/lib"
- add "extension_dir = ./usr/lib" to "/etc/httpd/4.3.1/php.ini"
- add "extension=mysql.so" to "/etc/httpd/4.3.1/php.ini"
- restart the webserver

phpmyadmin and MySQL is working fine now, but I'm not sure if the steps
mentioned above are right.
Any hints?

Thanks

greetz

I haven't installed it, but you have to use CARE.
The RaQ550 GUI uses PHP so you have to install the new
one as a second version, and in a different location
