[cobalt-users] [RaQ3] Virtual Sites moved and can no longer login through FrontPage.

Hi. I originally submitted this post on April 14, 2003. I did not receive
any response or help regarding this issue. I believe that I submitted it in
the proper protocol, but if I did not, can someone please tell me what I did
wrong and why no on responded. I can really use some help in this matter.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a long time Cobalt RaQ3 user. I have recently made some changes that
have rendered certain sites inoperable in Microsoft FrontPage. I have eight
IPs on the servers and aprox 30 sites. I moved a couple of sites from one
IP to another. I now cannot log into those sites with FrontPage. I changed
the DNS entries in the RaQ interface to reflect the new IPs. I also changed
the IPs in the virtual site list. When I try logging into the FrontPage web,
I get the following error message:
"Documents in this folder are not available. The folder may have been moved
or deleted, or network problems may be preventing a connection to the
server." I tried disabling and re-enabling FrontPage extensions in the Site
Setting control panel, as well as for the user and then re-booting.. I also
tried removing the web from "My Network Places" on my machine. All updates
and patches are current and applied to this server. Upon much searching on
the web and Cobalt sites, the only thing I was able to find were these two
cases in the Knowledgebase (which I changed into a tinyURL for ease of use):
http://tinyurl.com/9jgn
Which states that if the server is updated with all patches the issue should
not happen (but it is)
 and
http://tinyurl.com/9jgu
Which I am unsure if this is speaking about the same problem I am having, so
I am weary about applying it without first getting advice.

I appreciate any help that anyone can give in this matter on what strategies
I should use and any insights onto what the actual problem may be. Have a
nice day!

Mario
