Its a bit gaudy and alien ... particularly as I prefer MacOS X.

I've had it able to access shares ... What I need is network logon so I
don't have to create any accounts (apart from Administrator) on the PCs.

I did find this in the archives ...

-----------------------------------

Under Control-Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Local Security Policies ->
Domain member: Digitally encrypt of sign secure channel data (always)
is set "enabled" by default. The setting immediately following,
Domain member: Digitally encrypt of sign secure channel data (when
available)

set "enabled" by default should take care of this.
Looks to me like they wanted to make it difficult to use an NT4 environment
(which is what Samba emulates), and/or force an upgrade. Nice, eh?

Plan B is to downgrade the workstations to W2K ... They were ordered from
DELL with W2K, but supplied with WinXP.
