Just checking my 550 for probs before I get Solarspeed to install his
Security Package.
I used Back Orifice Pinger on my IP and port 31337 (hi risk for BO), and it
says:
under Infected IP's:
my IP
packets sent: 1
elapsed time: 0
orifices detected: 1
I then used Ming Sweeper to check out 31337, and it says that it is open.
Question:
1. With BO pinger saying "orifices detected: 1", does it mean that it
detected BO on my 550?
or
2. Does it mean that port 31337 is an open port, an orifice, and doesn't
necessarily mean that I've got BO on my machine?
If infected with BO, how does one eradicate this?
thnx,
Manny
