Actually, my first post had a link (http://trutwins.homeip.net/raq4.txt)
which shows the boot output while connected via serial. First it tries to
boot from disk by default, cycles, then I go into ROM mode, try to boot
from ROM, the error is at the bottom. Someone thought it had to do with
CHS translation, but I don't know how to change that. The old ROM has
been replaced with one from Tim Hockin's site. 2.3.40 to be specific. I
did not update the BIOS kernel though as the Debian install instructions I
had did not require doing that.
