A few things to try
do a
cmos -c romrev
from the command line post back the result.
Make sure you have the most up to date OSRCD as there will be limitations in the hard disk size on earlier versions and also the partition sizes will be smaller.
I am not sure what rom version you will need to handle larger disk sizes, I expect Gerald or Bruce would be better suited to answer that.
You may need to flash the ROM with a later version (not without some risk, be careful!)
And do another OS install with a later version CD.
