Sounds frustrating. :-(

On which IP address(es) would you like reverse checked? I
assumed 62.171.199.74; please indicate if that's correct.
62.171.199 is handled by dns?.rmplc.co.uk -- and has an
improperly-formatted SOA record. :-) Looks like dns0 and dns2
report NXDOMAIN, and dns1 reports NOERROR. It also seems like
the NXDOMAIN-reporting NSes are doing DNS for 62.171.199, but
dns2 is configured for 62.171.
At any rate, reverse is handled by rmplc.co.uk... so it looks
like your provider is attempting to do reverse. It certainly
hasn't been delegated beyond there.

Manually following DNS delegations from the root. :-)

manage.
No big deal... except being behind a firewall can present some
security hazards if done improperly.
