Gerald, your right ... what is strange though, when I first started trying
to figure it out, I swore on my life that it did flush out my input rules,
but looking over the config file, the rc.d/init.d file and also the cron
file, I do not see where it would be flushing it out.  Oh well, the
configuration for the firewall is still good!!! :-)  So, half of my post may
remain in tact!

Thanks for point that out, hopefully I will remember it.
