Here is exactly what the Error is:

The server encountered an internal error or
misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
=========================================================

I thought at first it seemed like it was almost some kind of filtering
type action since I was able to attach a few ZIP files but then that was
disproved after a few more attempts.

Log files...

Which log files and where would they be located related to Open WebMail?

What is the error, do the log files give a hint.
