Thanks for the answer! It's amazing how much you can find when you know
what you're looking for :)
Does anyone know if there is a way to force a package install? Which
file should I alter in order to "trick" the system into thinking that an
update has not been previously installed? I've been all over the
system, and honestly, I'm not sure which one to muck with! :)
Thanks again for the info! :)

If that doesn't work here is the basics from the article, fill in your
own pkg information:
Now type:
/usr/sausalito/sbin/pkg_prepare.pl -i -f /home/tmp/Your_package_here.pkg
This will install the update from command line.

3) Anyone have an idea as to why the recovery from the original backup
CD does not format and reinstall the whole machine as it should? On a
side note, I've also downloaded and burned the image which was available
on the sun site, however that has proven to have the same exact effects.
Yes, it is connecting to the cobalt box, and the cobalt box actually
says that it's formatting the drive on the LED display.
***More Mumbling Answer***
Don't Know, I have had it do that also, it can be very finicky,
but I change machines that I'm using to do the reinstall and it usually
works. I need to keep track of what machine I use successfully
re-install the cobalt software.
