[cobalt-users] Qube 3 fails to format/reinstall properly

I have tried recovering back to the basic system, which is supposed to
format and reinstall the box to the basics, however that does not seem
to be working considering all of my data, including the cpan directories
are all still there.  It does not tell me that I need to reboot the
Qube, nor does it over-write the domain information.

So what I need is one of three things.  

1)  If anyone knows how to diagnose the Apache.pm failed to load error,
I would love to hear it because as much as I've grepped through the
system, I'm at a loss for where the failure is occurring to fix it.

     I was updating Apache to use various modules -- Apache::Asp in
particular, and after updating everything seemed to work fine.  
     I did the update using MCPAN shell, so it picked up the
prerequisites and all.  At this point, I am getting an error saying 
     Apache.pm failed to load, and my web server is lying flat on its
back.

2) I have the latest apache patch that I would love to reinstall,
however it's a pkg file and I can not find any documentation to tell me
what I need to run in order to install it -- this would probably be the
easiest/fastest way to fix the problem?  I cannot do this through the
GUI because of the Apache.pm problem.

3) Anyone have an idea as to why the recovery from the original backup
CD does not format and reinstall the whole machine as it should?  On a
side note, I've also downloaded and burned the image which was available
on the sun site, however that has proven to have the same exact effects.
Yes, it is connecting to the cobalt box, and the cobalt box actually
says that it's formatting the drive on the LED display.
