Thanks for this great tip on searching an entire server.  Fortunately
somone on cobalt-developers was able to narrow it down to a set of files
for me <smile>.

I had tried changing the machine name back and forth a few times, and
the last time left it at raq41.nobaloney.net, so I can't prove it, but
my guess is the problem was in the /etc/hosts file <frown>.

It appears to be working now, though <smile>.
