I've just trashed a K7-Duron machine that blew a motherboard (old and very cheap motherboard) - the machine had 512Mb of RAM in 2 x 256Mb DIMMs which we'd put a 2nd DIMM in recently - on the off chance that they would work in the Qube3 we just acquired - and they work a treat (at the moment - testing began a few hours ago, and they appear fine - show a full 512Mb of RAM and haven't crashed yet).
Bottom line - these are Centon 256Mb DIMMs, marked as PC133 ONLY - they were purchased at Circuit City and they are currently $47.99 with two mail in rebates totalling $25. I think there was a limit of 1 per name/address/household, but at $23 plus a stamp and waiting a couple of weeks for $25 to come back, it's a fairly cheap 256Mb of RAM, and even at $47.99, they're fairly affordable too.
Note - they have another Centon RAM product - the two I have were both:
Brand/Model: MEI 256PC133ONLY
The other product they have is a 256MPC133 at $59.00 - I have NOT tried those!!
