The install of the Solarspeed patch (#2 Qube3-Sendmail-8.10.2-C2sol2.pkg)
seemed to work fine (no obvious errors from the GUI). It shows up under
installed packages in the GUI.
I thought I would look at my sendmail binary on /usr/sbin - it appears as
follows:
[root RPMS]# cd /usr/sbin
[root sbin]# ls -l sendmail
-r-sr-xr-x 1 root mail 392788 Mar 13 16:06 sendmail
Why is it dated Mar 13? Is this the Solarspeed binary or the 16402 binary
from Sun?
When I type 'rpm -a -l | grep sendmail' I don't see the package listed. I
get:
[root packages]# rpm -q -a | grep sendmail
sendmail-conf-8.10.2-C3stackguard
sendmail-doc-8.10.2-C3stackguard
sendmail-8.10.2-C3stackguard
sendmail-cf-8.10.2-C3stackguard
I tried to install it twice (as per the discussion you had with Barbara)
but it said it was already installed (GUI). The special instructions on the
download page refer to RaQ3 and RaQ4 that had the first unofficial patch
installed. This is a Qube3 that I think somehow is also affected.
Should it show up in 'rpm -a -l'?
Thanks for posting the package so quickly
Regards
