Steve (and Richard), the RaQ by default will always turn on rewriting. 
If you want to turn off rewriting you can, by commenting out the lines
in the virtual host section in httpd.conf; however if you do then
siteadmin and useradmin won't work.

So the best way if you don't want the rewriting is to create the new
sites in the gui as normal, then change the web root path to point to
the same one as the first site.  Then don't ever change the site in the
gui again, as doing so may rewrite the change.

If you want mail automatically forwarded (i.e., anyname@xxxxxxxxxxxx
forwarded to the same name at example.com, add "example2.com" (without
the quotes) as an email alias for example.com.
