Alright I finally gave in and had some one login into the box. A fine
person
by the name of Jean from Luxembourg helped me out. What he found was a
corrupt/infected ifconfig file that we could not edit or change. I guess I
will just need to do a full backup and rebuild! Ughh,, ;-( Anyway,, if
anyone else runs into something like this- Now you know at my expense ;-))
ifconfig is a binary, how could he edit or change it.
I doubt that it is corrupt, if it is get a copy and replace it.
