Well here is the CPU stats

"/proc/cpuinfo | grep temperature"

temperature     : 45

And I think the AMD's can run upto 65 or so without any issues.. Unless of
course my temperature gauge is broke-- Has anyone else seen this?

Sounds silly, but could it actually be a hardware problem with the CPU as 
it sounds like you've about tried everything else ?

Broken fan? Overheating ?
