Did they same mistake and had to order a ROM from Gerald. I then sent
motherboard and ROM to a local company and got it soldered on.
Mike, did you try to install the OS from the RaQ550 OS Restore CD?
During the OS restore process where you told: "Can't get your hardware
codename, will choose from menu. Select Hardware:"?
Did you then select Raq550?
If yes, this was your mistake. In your case you should have selected RaQ4.
If you chose the right hardware you can then select the ROM version 2.9.34
and safely flash the ROM and install the OS 550.
