You could look in /etc/named and find a file that looks like your > ipaddress backwards (missing the least significant byte)pri.3.2.1.in-addr.arpa This file should have the PTR records in it. Hi Gerald, thanks for the response. Following is the ptr in the file: 35 in ptr sub.domain.com.When I do the dig, I get no results for a ptr...only the Authority section saying that my NS has authority.
