   (*sigh*) I don't have to, since you proved EXACTLY why in your reply. You
unnecessarily and lazily quoted back my ENTIRE posting, when you really only
needed to include the VERY FIRST LINE for context (note how the vast majority
of the post you quoted has nothing WHATSOEVER to do with top-posting, and so
should NOT have been included in your response; only my one snide comment was
necessary for context). Note the difference between your post and mine;
because I DON'T top-post, I am forced to actually pay attention to how much
of your posting I really NEED to quote to maintain context. D*mned little, it
turns out.

   Top-posting encourages bandwidth-wasting laziness which doesn't take into
consideration the READER and is instead completely self-centered on making
the POSTER'S life easy, and so is, in my opinion, just plain evil.

         Charlie (who will cheerfully take this discussion OFF list,
                   but will not post again ON list, since this is about
                   as off-topic as it gets for the Cobalt-Users mailing list;
                   that this wasn't sent to me personally in the first place
                   also demonstrates how evil mailing lists munging the
                   Reply-To: header field is)
