Re: [cobalt-users] Stunnel and IMAPS

Tunnel's are fun and all if you are working in a restricted environment and have found that they work well for imap, pop3 & http but I have found that imap over ssl (993/tcp) is a lot more pain free and you don't have to worry weather the tunnel has died or not.

YMMV, Good Luck,

Hello list:

I had a need for secure IMAP come up yesterday from a client. Installed the latest versions of Stunnel and OpenSSL and lo and behold it worked! There is a howto at www.uk2raq.com on how to setup secure IMAP and POP3 but it is outdated. Would anyone be interested if I posted step by step instructions
to this list on how to do this?
