IM> Could you be a bit more specific on the slave / master issue
On a RaQ4:
Control Panel > Services > DNS Server Parameters
Pull down the "Add..." listbox and choose "Secondary Nameservice
for Domain". Enter the domain in question and the IP address of
the master nameserver.
Now the newly-configured slave will pull the zones from the
master. There should be one and only one master.
IM> as well as the email?
Say your server thinks it's the MX for the domain in question.
It will try to deliver mail locally unless you synchronize the
list of email addresses with your client. It's better just to
configure your system as a backup MX, or to let your client
handle the mail entirely.
Alternatively, you could provide mail service. In this case,
your client would need to avoid local handling of the domain's
mail.
IM> both servers have MX records, i take it this is incorrect?
Can you provide (on- or off-list) specifics? If you're running
master DNS on both, that's an error in and of itself. If you
configured both servers as MXes, that may or may not be correct.
