The Qube is fully patched. I've run into the mail lock problem before, when the /var/cobalt/status file has become corrupted. Deleting that file and rebooting generally clears up any lock problems. Maybe I'll give that a go. How do I tell whether or not I'm using pop-before-relay? Grant
POP-before-SMTP or POP-before-relay was a patch that needed to be installed to enable on the Qube2 and RAQ2. In the GUI console for your Qube2, go to "Maintenance", then "Install Software". If "POP-authenticated SMTP relaying" appears on your list, then you are using POP-before-relay.
If my memory is any good, I think that POP-before-relay was dependent on a different version of qpopper than that shipped with the Qube2. It's possible that the sendmail patch relies on this different version of qpopper (?).
