Re: [cobalt-users] RaQ2 - OS Restore problem

Yes,
~ manually set ip, mask, gateway.
~ link light is on.
~ have plugged another cobalt into port to verify it works and used another cable.
~ have several machines on same subnet.

Just downloaded iso image file, off to burn cd and start once again.

Just to confirm, you did manaully set the IP on the Cobalt itself after you did the OS restore and power cycled the server ? Do you have a link light on the server / pc / hub you are connecting to ? Do you have a machine on
the same subnet as you set the server ?

No - I have not used the CD on other RaQ2's. I have assumed that since
the restore got to the end that it had worked.

I will now download the files, burn a cd and try again.

Thanks

I am trying to OS restore to a RaQ2 from a CD - however when done, I

have performed this task on RaQ4's before, with no problem, but this
RaQ2 has me confused. I have trawled the list archives for days but
not found an answer to the problem.

Have you tried downloading and using a different disc like one of the
Raq2 ISO's on the ftp site? Maybe your CD is bad. I'm assuming you
haven't used it successfully on any other Raq2s.
