[cobalt-users] Sendmail stuff

This is just a thought,
I used to run web servers on Solaris boxes with sendmail of comparable age to that on my XTR's (until I just applied
the patch). One day (sounds like a fairy tale already eh?) we noticed that a newly patched version of Sendmail seemed to
be ignoring the content of the From: field. We noticed this because sendmail basically just didn't send stuff out
anymore. The web servers were running as nobody and this was not a valid alias on our University mail hosts. This had
never been a problem with previous copies of sendmail, which mailed as whatever you put in the From: field - a necessity
in web programming.

Anyone else come across this? I'm just wondering if its going to do the same kind of thing on our RAQ's if we update
the sendmail facility.
