When the patch is installed, it messes around with the /var/spool/mqueue
directory and leaves it in a state that MailScanner does not like.

To solve this:

         cd /var/spool/mqueue
         rmdir q1 q2 q3 q4
         /etc/rc.d/init.d/MailScanner restart

Then you should find everything starts working properly again.

broke delivery on other

Hello.

Looks like I created a problem...

I have two RaQ4s with all patches, MailScanner from source -
installed by me, SpamFilter from SolarSpeed - installed by Michael.

All was well - installed pkgmaster.com sendmail update on my
first RaQ4. Restarted mailscanner and sendmail for good measure
- all worked great.

Then I installed it on the second server the same way. This
time, however, it appears that mail delivery has been broken
somehow. I can still send mail out of the box as well as send
mail into the box, only it never gets delivered.

Looking at things, sendmail is accepting the mail, Mailscanner
is processing it and placing it into /var/mail/mqueue for
delivery. However, it is just sitting there and not getting
delivered. Its really starting to pile up now, too.

Any ideas on how to get delivery cranked back up again?

Thanks, in advance, for you help.
Rick Ewart
