This is a response I posted to the list a month or so ago about a
similar issue. I created a script that tried to deal with it, but after
waking up several times in the middle of the night to handle reboots,
gave up.

Re: front panel resets - if you do a normal shutdown, it should be fine.
That goes through the whole process.
