Which it won't be -- you'll forget -- and end up blowing away the
entire site. Best to not even consider this option at all. You want
to affect their FTP connection, so make the changes in the FTP config
file. That's what it's there for.
"Random" editing of /etc/passwd is just not a Good Thing (TM)...
