unpack the tar on my spare volume and find what's needed - have to discover
and change permissions..

bare metal restore from cd, mount spare volume, move cce.tar to
/var/cobalt/backups and reboot
then unpack the tar and put it back. Again, permissions is a problem!

If I did have to use my recovery I daresay I would not then have Cobalt's
support after anyway!
Its a bit of a worry.
To commission a Legato or Arkeia server of my own is the only "supported"
option - cost: about 1 RaQ550 worth of $ plus colo rent for it.
