To fix this problem, you must make a change to the Windows XP registry.
Windows XP expects to be joined to a Windows 2000 domain, which allows
the
signing and sealing of netlogon packets across the network. Since Samba
emulates a Windows NT 4.0 PDC (which is not enabled in XP by default),
you
must use this registry hack. When you set the following registry value
to
0 (false), signing and sealing is negotiated with the Domain
Controller,
which in my case is my Samba server."
Alternatively, Start -> Run -> gpedit.msc
This editor is brilliant, it'll shock you if you didn't know about it
before ;-) Lots of interesting stuff, much specific to smb and the way
it talks to non-ms servers.
If you are going to post, please make sure that you post accurate

What got me is how he misspelt "Netbeui" through the entire message
even though he had pasted the correct spelling in the URL?
And *DONT* install Netbeui on XP unless you want problems. Its an old,
crappy protocol that died long, long ago.
