If you modify the name of your server in the Control Panel / Network, it
change also the name of your main site....
The data in the /web/ will not be loosed, but will only show up in the new
domain name.
Pay attention to don't have already a domaine name like the new one that you
want to change to.

we have a raq3 and the server is called www.whatever.com.  We also have
a site www.whatever.com with the same IP.  If we change the name of the
server to something.whocares.com will that mess up the site
www.whatever.com?
