our way for the moment - we do as follows
we have updated again with the older kernel Update 2.0.1
RaQ4-All-Kernel-2.0.1-2.2.16C32III.pkg
and everything seems to be ok.
the raid is now working like before
synchronization 2 x 40 GB = 100 minutes
what for we need a RaQ4r with two HDDs and raid
if the raid works so slowly ?
two days is much to long - this is absolute unacceptable.
these servers have a very less cpu-speed ( 300 / 450 mhz ).
and the software-raid needs also parts from these resources
we can not spend this for such a while
may be the new kernel update is in order to use with RaQ4 / RaQ4i
but Sun Cobalt never had tested this with a RaQ4r
