I think we can take it for granted that cobalt-announce is now dead I don't
think there has been an announcement from it for some months not helped by
the fact that Sun made the guy that did the announcements REDUNDANT - sadly
for us he also did the updates page updates as well and they don't appear to
have nominated anyone to do his job or is that Suns way of gradually killing
it off?

Be grateful that someone is in a back room coding some patches when they get
time and posting them on the ftp for people to find and of course that we
have some good people on this list that are able to look at them and work
out what they do and better still people who have units to test them on
before you all try it on your productions servers.

The Blue boxes will only die if the users lose interest, there are over
100,000 RaQs in circulation that's a lot of people affected or involved if
1% put their efforts into development that would be roughly 3.5 times more
people that the whole of Cobalt when Sun bought it. If 1000 people can't
make them more secure and better then its a poor show.

Regards

Gavin

Just be aware that many patches have previously appeared on the ftp site before being listed on the download page. Some are modified and some are removed. It is possible that it is available for you beta testers before it is posted for those of us a bit slower adopting folks.
