The Sausalito format PKG (used for Qube 3, XTR, and the 550) is an
encrypted tarball... you have to use gpg --decrypt first, then tar
zxvf file.tar.gz.

There's not an easy way to "convert" a RaQ 4 PKG to a 550 PKG; the
wrapper scripts are different, and the PKG contains different info
for prerequisites, etc.
