how about we assemble the thousands of backup-related emails and make an real 
FAQ? with solutions for each Raq model and each scenario?

funny how Sun makes the product but manages to step aside whenever questions 
like backups, migration, firewalling, and patches are asked. "its an 
appliance with a web interface. if you dont use the web interface, we dont 
support it". of course, the web interface doesnt address the real management 
issues that every single user needs - such as how to back up the box.
