RIPE run a continuous count of the number of hosts and the data can be
viewed at:
ftp://ftp.ripe.net/ripe/hostcount
RIPE are one of the 4 LIR's responsible for IP (IPv4 & IPv6) allocation:
APNIC (Asia Pacific Network Information Centre) - Asia/Pacific Region
ARIN (American Registry for Internet Numbers) - Americas and Sub-Sahara
Africa
LACNIC (Regional Latin-American and Caribbean IP Address Registry) - Latin
America and some Caribbean Islands
RIPE NCC (Réseaux IP Européens) - Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and
African countries located north of the equator
You can ignore these but if you're a nice person then it's good to allow
this host to pull the transfers.
