Subject: [cobalt-users] Very Slow RAQ4
Hi
Sorry for being a bit basic, but we've got a RAQ4 that is slowly
grinding to a halt. Web pages and database queries do eventually
complete, but they are taking longer and longer.
I realise the cause could be almost anything - but has anyone got
any ideas what to check first on the server? There must be some
process somewhere taking up a hell of a lot of resources

Phil,
Take a look at how much RAM you have "free". Also, take notice
of your running applications. Do a "top" to see what applications
are taking up the most resources on your machine. Also running a
"ps -ef" or "ps -aux" will show you the processes running.
NOTE:
If you have 128 RAM, Do you self a favor. Go to any computer store,
purchase some "SDRAM 100mhz" memory, and upgrade to at least 512. YOU
will notice a performance increase.
