I have src rpm for openssl , and I did a diff on mine and yours and they are
negligable, but I must be doing something wrong as it does not build a
version of libssl.so that works in /usr/lib/apache.

So i conclude I am doing something wrong.

What should I be doing to complie libssl.so for the apache module ?
