I am so sure I answered this the other day, but...
You need to put a 'marker' file in /var/lib/cobalt -- that's how the
RaQ 'knows' what PKGs are installed.
The filename should be contained within the "packing_list" file in the
OS Update 5.0 PKG that you said you took apart to manually install
the RPMS.
Go to /var/lib/cobalt and do
touch RaQ3-en-Update-OS-5.0.md5lst
to make the 'marker file'
Also, you should read the 'upgrade_me' script from the PKG and make
sure you did all the steps. There was a lot more to this PKG than
just installing a bunch of RPMS...
