[cobalt-users] GCC v3

I'm having trouble running an app. Basically it's failing because it
can't find a file in the gLibC standard c++ library
(/usr/local/sbin/DarwinStreamingServer: error in loading shared
libraries: libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory). My RaQ4 currently has GCC 2.95 (which doesn't
have the newer libraries), but GCC v3 does.
Now the obvious solution is to upgrade GCC, but I'm hesitant because of
"Cobalt proprietary" concerns (I have no idea what the differences are
between it and Redhat). Is there anything to look out for? Is there a
special RPM to use?
TIA
Ahmad
