Bit late in getting back to you on this - I tried what you've said - got an error ("duplicate key") in the virtusertable makemap. Removed the duplicate key and now I can do both makemaps with no errors - but the JS problem is still there.
Since this problem arose on Monday, I've not been able to route any mail out through my server (even though my own broadband IP address is specified in the "relay for the following hosts/domains" box).
Any ideas anyone? Grateful for your help. Thanks again David
