I would love to be able to buy a "cobalt like ui" system pre-installed and
supported on the SunFire's. In fact, I originally bought and later returned
a SunFire v100 in exchange for a Cobalt Qube3 when I realized there was no
way I could setup all the services (and do it securely) on a bare bones
V100.

How about an "Appliance Package" product that could be optionally
pre-installed on things like the V100. I would pay for such a thing if it
existed. That way, Sun could sell more sparc hardware to people who want
some "appliance" like features out of the box.
