RE: [cobalt-users] [RaQ4r] Maximal temperature?

Well.. not a direct answer to your question.. but a suggestion.

Run down to your local computer store and purchase a fan as close to the
size of the failed fan, remove the failed fan (it obstructs air flow). then
hang the new fan any way you can over the opening (on the out side of the
case) and secure any way reasonable (even good old duct tape). Connect the
power to the fan (make sure the fan pulls air out of the case). Fire the
box back up.. and you should be golden till the correct fan arrives.

FYI - I had a Raq4r go nuts on me (erratic) when it's CPU fan failed.
Fortunately I had a spare.. but when it got really hot the LCD started
displaying garble and the console connection also displayed jiberish. Not
expecting the fan to have failed or even hearing any noise from it I didn't
figure out the problem till I pulled the cover off.

Sorry no clue how ho to hot is..

Jerry

I was just looking at that information the other day. I think 75C is about
the cutoff point. Can you put a fan on it? Any fan.
