I don't know if this is OT or not; apologies if it is.
As an alternative to formmail.pl I use a script given away by
bignosebird.com:
http://www.bignosebird.com/carchive/bnbform.shtml
This is running on several sites on my RaQ4 and I like it very much; it's
easy to customise using hidden fields and I've even tinkered successfully a
little with the Perl, even though I don't really know the language.
Just recently a few users have reported it won't work for them. They all
work for big companies so I think it may be because they are behind
firewalls or proxy servers.
At the beginning of the script a variable is set which contains a domain, or
list of domains. The script can't be executed except from one of these, for
obvious reasons. My problem users are getting the error message which
suggests the script does not recognise them as coming from the domain of my
site.
Suggestions/ideas/pointers please? How do formmail, or PHP programs, get
around this? Thanks
