How about the PTR records?
You can't control the PTR records, your colo does that.

Yes Jale, they were changed during the weekend.
My registar shows that the propagation is complete by now - more than 48
hours -.
and my hourly Logcheck shows regular FTP port activity:
Jan 6 20:04:09 www proftpd[30714]: www.mydomain.com - xxx.xx.xxx.xx:20
masquerading as xxx.xx.xxx.xx
Any ideas?
