I successfully upgraded to php 4.3 with builtin gd2 on my raq4i a few days
ago from php source.
1.
Buy a complete PHP package with gd and other nice stuff for around $120
OR:
2.
download php4.3 source
./configure' --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs --with-gd --with-jpeg-dir=/usr --wit
h-png --with-mysql --etc... --etc... --etc...
check your current <?phpinfo();?> file for others...
this will create libphp4.so
backup your current libphp4.so (/usr/lib/apache/) and php.ini (/etc/httpd/)
replace with new libphp4.so and php.ini
restart httpd
test if its working....
if not ok restore old one and goto step 1. ;)

Subject: [cobalt-users] GD 2.x install on Cobalt Raq4?
Has anyone successfully gotten GD 2.0 (and all its dependencies) installed
and working on a Cobalt Raq4, and have PHP recognize the new libraries?
Any information that can be provided is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
