[cobalt-users] Vacation Message Weirdness

Hi all

I got a weird situation with a vacation message.

We have the Qube3 doing email for one of our offices with a domain of its
own (omfihq.net). Our organization's mail email domain (omf.net) is being
maintained by a company in Canada. All the omfihq.net email addresses on
the Qube have corresponding omf.net addresses which forwards the emails to
omfihq.net.

One of the assistant directors put a vacation message on his omfihq.net
account. So when someone email him, the vacation message didn't get to the
recipient and an error message was sent back to the assistant director with
permanent fatal errors saying user unknown.

The user it identified as unknown is
NEBBIPPGNEMJLFCAMAKJAEKFCKAA.ihq-saa@xxxxxxx; which is quite correct in
assesment as the account name is actually ihq-saa@xxxxxxx

Somehow it got the "NEBBIPPGNEMJLFCAMAKJAEKFCKAA." in front of the email
address - can anyone got any ideas or shed any light as to how this might
have happened?

Regards,

James Nesbitt
