We don't use raqbackup.sh at all; we run our own backup scripts.

The purpose of the beta was to support migration to 550s. Migration to
550s seems to work okay, but it's impossible to restore a backup made on
a 550 to a 550 <frown> so it can't be easily used for backing up
<frown>.
There's no reason to install the beta if you're not needing to migrate
to 550s.
